🇬🇧 SEPANG, 21 SEPTEMBER 2026 – The 2026 MotoMini Malaysia Championship came to a dramatic conclusion as Rounds 4 and 5 were held together at the Sepang International Kart Circuit, Selangor, yesterday.

The season finale of MotoMini Malaysia delivered intense racing under a double-header format, featuring four races over two days. The format tested the physical and mental endurance, as well as the technical ability, of the country’s young riders as they battled for the remaining 100 maximum championship points.

In addition to determining the overall champions, the final round in Sepang also served as the decisive stage for the international qualification spots, with the top two riders in the MotoMini 190cc and MotoMini 160cc categories securing places to represent Malaysia at the MotoMini World Final in Valencia, Spain, later this year.

In the premier MotoMini Malaysia 190cc category, Terengganu rider Qasha Irfan of Team 4 Racing secured the overall championship after dominating the competition throughout the season.

Qasha enjoyed an outstanding campaign with nine victories this season, including double wins on Saturday and Sunday in Sepang, bringing his 2026 campaign to a strong close ahead of the challenge in Valencia.

Selangor rider Malek Ridha moved up to finish runner-up overall with 167 points, securing the second ticket to Valencia, while his close challenger, Adam Aiman of CMX Racing, Selangor, finished third overall with 155 points.

The MotoMini Malaysia 160cc category also saw a dominant performance from Pahang rider Al-Adam Mikail of Scooter.my ZNEXLAB IGOL Racing Team, who was crowned overall champion after an impressive season.

The 12-year-old recorded nine victories throughout the season and accumulated 233 points to comfortably lead the championship.

The second ticket to Valencia went to fellow Malaysian rider Qaish Isyraf of 36 JRQR Racing Team, who finished second overall with 161 points. Aryan Mikhail of Team 4 Racing, Terengganu, completed the overall podium in third with 151 points.

In the SIC Ohvale Junior Championship, seven-year-old Haqim Al Mahdi of HF MotoMini Team capped off an impressive season by being crowned overall champion with 222 points.

Young female rider Wan Adra Mikayla Wan Mohd Muzri also caught the attention with two victories in Sepang, finishing second overall with 179 points. Akmal Aiman of CMX Racing finished third with 130 points.

Meanwhile, in the RCB MotoKidz Championship, young talent Faith Mikael of M8 Racing Team, who was previously discovered through push-bike racing, demonstrated his potential by claiming the overall championship with 197 points, having secured five victories during the season.

MotoMini Malaysia Programme Director, Zulfahmi Khairuddin, said the 2026 season had produced highly competitive racing, particularly in the battle for the championships and the coveted tickets to Valencia, further demonstrating that the programme continues to develop promising young talent capable of competing on the international stage.

🇬🇧 “The riders who have secured their places in Valencia fully deserve their opportunity, as we know that Malaysian riders have consistently performed well on the world stage. Every year we go there, we have managed to secure podium finishes, and with the ability shown by the top two riders in both the 190cc and 160cc categories, I am very confident that we can set high targets for Valencia.

Overall, the transition this season from a one-make racing format to a team-based system built around individual sponsorship has produced very positive results. The turnout of spectators and families has also been exceptional, reflecting the growing excitement and appeal of the sport.

The programme has also started to attract attention from outside the racing community, including renowned Malaysian football coach Nizam Jamil, who came forward to establish NJ Racing. We hope more experienced individuals like him will step forward to support and become involved in talent development programmes such as this.

We are also grateful and thankful for the presence of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), YBhg. Dato’ Rahimi bin Ismail, who attended the event and witnessed the potential of the sport first-hand.

My hope is that the MotoMini programme and the Road to MotoGP initiative will continue to receive strong support from KBS and SIC, ensuring that the development pathway for young Malaysian talent to the world stage remains continuous. Hakim Danish came through this programme, and we hope that one day more young Malaysian talents will have the opportunity to follow the same path.”
